The Aztec Sun Stone, which historians believe was never actually finished, got buried in what is currently Mexico City. Then in 1790, it was uncovered and placed on the Mexico City Cathedral walls, where it resided for almost a century. Today, you can see this historic artifact in the National Anthropology Museum in Mexico City.
